I recently got the chance to indulge in the tranquil beauty that Windham has to offer while relishing the comforts of home and breathtaking mountain views, all while being enveloped by the scenic golf course at this beautiful Ski & Golf View Farm House Indeed, this house is situated in a truly distinctive location, nestled in the heart of the golf course with picturesque vistas of the Ski Slopes. Just a stone's throw away from downtown Windham, you'll have easy access to all the Catskills have to offer: golfing, skiing, biking, water parks, waterfalls, hiking trails, lakes, dining, and even wineries. We came for a short weekend getaway with 3 kids between the ages of 2-3 so wineries were not on our agenda.
Windham embodies tranquility in many aspects, making it an ideal destination for city dwellers seeking a retreat. We did venture out to check out the local scene, wearing my Geneva flats (felt like the orange toe cap fell in line with all the beautiful foliage). The house isn't too far from a bustling town adorned with unique jewelry boutiques offering ski pendant necklaces and Quilt Shops adorned with a spectrum of colors from floor to ceiling. Furthermore, the town boasted a vibrant culinary scene that exceeded my expectations. We had an amazing dinner at Nats Mountain House, aside from the AMAZING food & cocktails they had an awesome game room, although our kids were a little too small we still managed! A classic good old fashion breakfast at the Catskill Mountain Country Store.
If you are a skier, I would definitely file this house for the upcoming ski season. It really was just perfection!
