HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's that time of year again! The lights come down, the tree is put away (or maybe not). Vacation (if you were brave enough to take one) has come to a bitter end. The possibilities of a new year is exciting and a little scary at the same time. The new year for me always feels like a brand new start, clean slate, START FRESH!
Looking back this year was a challenging one for me. Having a newborn (well she's 1 now) and trying to run a business as a stay at home mom has proven to be very difficult. Those who say you can have and do it all must share that secret with me.
But, at the same time I still manage to get stuff done at the end of the day! I am so excited for what 2022 may have to offer me and Very Lovely Soles.I went from maybe shutting down this whole business to going full force with the San Juan collection. I was pumped! I sent all my information to my factory overseas. I was going to add so many fun colors they were working on the samples. Two weeks later I received an email that the factory had to close completely due to covid! That was it, that was my "sign" Shut. This. Down.
But, wait! Hudson Valley Magazine reached out they wanted to get a few of my samples to feature in their huge wedding issue. A few more magazine reached out asking for samples for spring 2022 editorials. Shortly after that a new factory reached out to me asking if I would be interested in trying a new factory for my shoes?
So, I am sampling my shoes with this new factory and working really hard to get some colors out by Spring 2022. I have so many fun ideas and have plans to do a ton of trunk shows and events this year!
I also ended the year thinking each year I want to pick an organization that I would love to donate a percentage of Very Lovely Soles sales to. I picked for the year 2022 to partner up with BabyQuest and I am looking forward to working with them this year!
It was a year of achieving milestones, and a year of tremendous learning. I ended the year with my husband and daughter getting covid but was able to spend Christmas with my whole family in Colombia before being locked down! So we are very grateful for that.
I am trying to think of new ways to let you in my life. I hope this blog, newsletter will be fun for you as I think it will be very therapeutic for me!
So with that, goodbye to 2021 all it taught us, and all it brought us- And cheers 2022 looking forward to this next chapter! Thank you for joining me on this journey.

VLS still has a space in this world….
This is great- love how personal it is- and you can definitely feel the love and passion you have for the business.
